Buff Diss has a solo show going on in Pisa, Italy called God’s Left the Building, taking place at Cantiere Sanbernardo (a 15th century church turned venue). The place looks stunning, and its nice to see the clean tape work of Buff Diss in such a grand and ornate setting. The opening weekend just passed, but it will be open again this coming weekend, Oct 2-4. More info on Buff Diss’ flickr or www.cantieresanbernardo.it.
A new piece in a new series called “Manage Work Flow” from Specter about “the under appreciated workforce that runs the city.” It also reflects the disappearing industrial spaces in some of our changing neighborhoods. As per usual, not only is the quality of the work top notch, but the placement is fantastic.
Specter “Manage Work Flow” slideshow will appear here!
Its all good in the smokey, dimly-lit world of Dain’s latest show at Brooklynite Gallery. Dain sent the gallery back in time for the show, installing paneling, molding and old lighting as well as doing a complete paintjob. Even the music was straight out of the 1940’s. The work was a nice blend - one part old Hollywood and one part Coney Island.
