Jorge Galvão Tempos Dificeis book release

Recommended: Jorge Galvão is releasing a limited edition book with two events this weekend in Curitiba and São Paulo, Brasil — the book is a release with Caderno Listrado titled Tempos Dificeis and comes in an edition of 100, hand bound and all have been painstakingly worked over by Jorge.  Information on the release and teaser shot below, and mais, em Portuguese, no flickr do Jorge.

Ghost book coming out this week…

Ghost has a book (and shirts) coming out from Stussy on April 25, 2009 — check the interview here.  We really dig his stuff, so we’re looking forward to seeing the book.

Quick Bits:  Invader 10th anniversary book coming March 2009, Mark Jenkins closes this week (April 25) at Stricola Contemporary, Aiko just opened at Joshua Liner Gallery, PDF magazine Bloodwars vol 2 #1 is out, the Draw show at The Shooting Gallery (San Francisco) looks cool, Os Gemeos were interviewed on Aerosolblog (in Spanish, English translation below), and as always - ekosystem.org has a ton thats worth a look.

Part of Rebellion: Flying Förtress

Ecosystem.org has a nice interview and book preview for Part of Rebellion 1: Flying Fortress put together by C100 - the same fella who did the Art of Rebellion book. 

Its part 1 in a series (part 2 will be on Dave the Chimp) on artists working across several different areas (street, gallery, commercial).  We’ll certainly post on part 2 when its coming up!

ESPO Studio Gangster

Did you know Stephen Powers (aka ESPO) had a newish book out? Well, its from December 2007, but regardless, its called Studio Gangster, and it covers his work over the past five years.  The clip below is an interview with Espo about it – I’m adding it to my christmas wishlist now…

You should investigate his older book The Art of Getting Over too.
