Specter’s golden tribute

As a sign of the times or to bottle collectors everywhere… whichever the case, Specter just installed a statue in tribute. The shopping cart full of empty bottles, all covered in gold, smack dab in the middle of it all. Sit back, relax, and watch the slideshow:

Manage Work Flow - A new series from Specter

A new piece in a new series called “Manage Work Flow” from Specter about “the under appreciated workforce that runs the city.” It also reflects the disappearing industrial spaces in some of our changing neighborhoods.  As per usual, not only is the quality of the work top notch, but the placement is fantastic.

Specter “Manage Work Flow” slideshow will appear here!

Heads-Up NYC: Specter print release and
Brooklynite NYC pop-up shop opening

Heads-Up NYC: THIS WEDNESDAY, June 24 from 7-9pm, is the opening of the Brooklynite NYC pop-up shop with the Specter “Sho Shin” print release!  The Specter print is on archival cardboard, which was distressed by the artist, and each one is hand painted with the black silkscreened in a limited edition of 10.  See more images from the Specter prints on the Brooklynite Gallery flickr page. And last but not least, we missed the Ben Frost opening, but looks like it was a lot of fun - check out the photos here.

See the latest Specter street work, including the latest in his “If I Saw You In Heaven” series:
